Your Next Hotel Stay May be in Outer Space

Several Million Dollar Hotel in Space 

   If you've often found your mind drifting into space, this might just be for you. 
   
     A new luxury hotel may be launched into Earth's orbit in just the next three years. A space tech startup, Orion Span, located in Houston is reportedly taking on the task of sending vacationers to relax among the stars in 2022.

     Just a simple payment of $9.5 million will reportedly let you have a 12-day stay. If the excitement is too much, prospective flyers can already start putting down a refundable deposit of $80,000 for future travels, according to National Geographic.

     

     Orion Span's CEO, Frank Bunger, is reportedly working towards a lower cost to make space travel more accessible to everyone.
"Upon launch, Aurora Station goes into service immediately, bringing travelers into space quicker and at a lower price point than ever seen before." 
     Upon completion, the hotel will be the size of a large private jet's cabin, according to National Geographic. It will reportedly hold a total of six people with two of those being former astronauts.

GNV Students Increase Test Scores Thanks to Tennis Mentor Program

Gators in Motion                   As the saying goes, work hard play hard, and these kids are doing just that. Middle and high school students struggling with their grades are getting help thanks to a mentoring program called "Gators in Motion." Through tennis the kids create bonds with volunteers who become a support system for them. "I was struggling in biology and one of the volunteers helped me." said Camryn Ford Eastside Student.      The program pairs kids from low-income neighborhoods with the University of Florida students.  Tutors work one-on-one with them and the students couldn't be happier. Kate Venezio Kate Venezio is a sports reporter and anchor for WUFT News at the University of Florida. As a multimedia journalist she is able to cover stories in an array of platforms.
